Around 15% of infertile couples undergo a whole battery of medical tests, only to be told that their infertility is ‘unexplained’.  In most cases though, there is an explanation waiting to be uncovered.

Some common causes of infertility which may not be picked up by the usual tests include:

• Allergies, for example some women are allergic to their partner’s sperm
• Autoimmune conditions, such as thyroid dysfunction
• Undiagnosed infection or inflammation affecting the reproductive organs

Natalia gained her first class degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of Central Lancashire in 2003, and has been in practice ever since.  Although originally an accountant, Natalia became interested in herbal medicine when her children were small.  An interest quickly turned into a vocation, and she has never looked back.

Originally a finance manager in the NHS, Natalia changed career after one of her children had herbal treatment. “After months of emergency GP appointments and broken nights, we had a healthy child again, and life returned to normal,” she says. “I wanted to be able to make that kind of difference for other people.”

Natalia is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (www.nimh.org.uk), the UK’s leading body of professional herbalists. Members carry full insurance, and are subject to a code of ethics and a complaints procedure.
